Aloha!

With all its sham, and drudgery and broken dreams...
It is still a beautiful world!

These are wild times, my dear friends, wild times, indeed.  Have you ever wondered why you are on the planet at this particular time?  Personally, I find it rather exciting to be living during an era when the world, literally, changes its face overnight.  We are in the midst of a pretty radical phase.   And, no matter what's going on, we have to go on!

I understand how easy it is to become overwhelmed by the pressures of an increasingly demanding world; to get disheartened as we witness man's inhumanity toward man; and to quickly lose our center as we wonder how to manage the chaotic changes that consume us.  But, I have deep faith in our futures because we are resilient creatures and have an incredible capacity to renew and redeem ourselves.

Our life is our spiritual practice.  Ask yourself, "How can I express the fullness of my humanity?"  I invite and encourage you to explore the magnificent, dynamic, alive, wonder that is you. Your life is divinely appointed and you are here on purpose.  Your soul incarnated for the human experience, so, engage the life you've been given, and offer gratitude for being alive, no matter what your circumstances.  Learn to love the life you have rather than wish it were something else.

It is a sacred ritual to claim who we are. And, while I am not always who I want myself to be, I am learning to make that okay. I think we all struggle with trying to be ourselves, and, yet, we don't always know what that means. I do know, however, that we are each participating in the stories of our lives and discovering, through the full spectrum of our experiences, what it means to be human. I also know that if I look forward to the adventures of each new day, with a "come what may" attitude and enthusiasm in my heart, magic seems to happen and the world turns into an enchanting adventure.

Be curious; seek out that which makes your heart sing.  Live your life as fully, abundantly, passionately and outrageously as you can.  Occupy the deepest, most magnificent aspects of who you are.  Elevate humanity with your love.  Summon the courage to live out loud.  Liberate yourself!  Trust me, at the end of your life I don't think you'll say, "I wish I were more conservative."  There's a whole world out there waiting to be explored, and, there are worlds within you waiting to be discovered.  Remember, there is an extraordinary grace inherent in living your life with enthusiasm.

Blessed be, this life we live.
It is what it is, we are what we are!

Life Is Change

“Life has a beauty and a joy that transcends all the darkness that surrounds us, that something ineffable lives beyond the ordinary affairs of the day, and that without this mystery our lives would not be worth living.”   ~Kent Nerburn  Small Graces

Dear Friends,

Spring is here and signs of new life are everywhere.  Color is blooming and winter has left.  I am looking through my office window onto the park a few feet away.  The grass is green, the sky is blue and the trees have sprouted new leaves.  It’s a far cry from the snow I arrived to in January.  All of life, for me, is fresh and new.  My relocation to Albuquerque, New Mexico has been surprisingly easy and simple.  I love the change.  I absolutely love it!

Pearls of Wisdom

"I walk silently toward the window.  The darkness is lifting.  A thin shaft of lavender has creased the horizon, setting the edges of the trees on fire with morning light.  I pause and bow my head.  For this brief moment, I am held in the hand of God, and I am sent forth into the morning with the poetry of possibility beating in my heart"
~ Kent  Nerburn

Caroline Myss is one of the most vital voices out there today. She is channeling a body of work that is simply luminous.  I absolutely love her new book and CD set, Entering the Castle and highly recommend it to anyone who desires a deeper, more intimate relationship with their soul.

Join me, as I join Alan Clements, and many others from around the world, in a transformative, life expanding experiment of calling forth freedom and liberation in the global soul. We are being called to access something greater than ourselves; to engage a deeper, more meaningful existence, one that journeys beyond the narcissictic self-absorption of our current culture.  Please visit worlddharma.com to check out what I'm talking about.
